Control Eating Habits and Weight Loss Hypnotherapy
A major component of any successful and sustainable weight loss programme is always learning how to control your eating habits.
Rather than dieting and restriction, you can reach your ideal weight and still enjoy all the tastes, textures, smells and tastes of healthy and nutritious food. You simply learn to enjoy consistently eating the right amount.
So many of us learn eating habits that are less than ideal and then get stuck in a cycle of repeating them. Even if you make some changes for a while, without addressing the underlying psychological and behavioural issues, you soon find yourself back where you started. You may have been told when you were young that you needed to clear your plate (perhaps through the guilt of starving people in the world). You may have always eaten quickly, over-eaten or made less than healthy choices. And it’s quite common that once you had the freedom to make your own eating decisions then the calories came thick and fast (and perhaps sweet too).
Many eating habits get ingrained without you even realising until your weight is an issue. And, as with all habits, your brain is designed to repeat the same patterns, regardless of whether they are helpful or not. And so you eat too much, make unhealthy choices, crave certain foods, find it impossible to stop once you’ve started and mindlessly snack. You get stuck in a rut and, no matter how many diets you’ve tried, you can’t break free.
If your weight is an issue for you, you may already be trying to summon the motivation and inspiration you need to try and start yet another weight loss programme of calorie counting, restriction and deprivation. It’s a depressing prospect of struggle and likely failure.
However, with weight loss hypnotherapy it certainly is possible to take control over your eating habits and so to then successfully lose weight.

Recently I was working with a client who wanted to successfully lose weight after being fed up with yo-yo dieting. When we first met she was concerned it was going to be like every other weight loss programme – restriction, deprivation and missing out on the nice stuff. As this review from her shows, she was in for a bit of a life changing shock…
Here’s what she had to say after taking control over her eating habits:
“I went to see Dan to talk about a hypno band. I wanted to lose weight (again) after yo yo dieting for years and thought it was my best shot.
It became clear through talking to Dan, that I didn’t want anything so restrictive at all, (as I actually really enjoy nice food and going out to the pub and only being able to eat a spoonful or two seemed no fun at all 😳).
I just wanted to lose weight without feeling hard done by all the time (the endless diets and deprivation resulting in weight loss… celebrated by ending the deprivation and round and round I go again on the predictable circle of weight loss /gain misery)
I Say JUST…. But I didn’t believe it was possible….. I know how to diet… Eat less move more… We ALL know the theory…. But the feeling of missing out.. Having to say no to all the nice things…. Removing all temptation from the house etc…. That’s the bit I hated..
Well… Dan performed a miracle…. There is no other way to describe the change in how I feel around food and drink.
I now have control, I can now eat what I want without eating more than I need, I can have a biscuit and not want to eat the whole packet, I can have a glass of wine and not finish the bottle (left over wine for cooking is no longer a myth in my house) and I don’t mean I can control the urge to have more…. I mean the urge is gone….. I don’t want it 🤷♀️
Other people can have seconds /another drink around me and I don’t feel the need to keep up or have “my fair share”
And it’s 100% painless…. I know!! I can’t believe it either 🤷♀️
Not a diet but a total mind shift
No deprivation…No envious looks at everyone else’s choice while you opt for the salad and pretend to self it’s what you wanted.
I have nothing but praise and a sense of disbelief that Dan can undo a life time of bad habits in a few weeks….. But the changes were instant…. The long term results will take time but I have zero doubt that I have changed my habits for life now.
The weight has started to come off and friends and family have noticed the change in portion size and the ability to know my limits etc (I think the words when I declined a second glass of wine were… OK who are you and what have you done with my sister 😂)

I love this because there is absolutely no reason why you can’t enjoy your food and be in control of your eating habits and reach your desired size, shape and weight. Whatever your weight loss and health goals, being in control over your eating thoughts, feelings and habits is the cornerstone of sustainable success.
