Happy New Year! Hypnotherapy in Ely and Newmarket
As this year draws to a close, I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy New Year!
A massive thank you to everyone who has made this year such a great one. A massive thank you to all of my face to face clients and to everyone who has downloaded and benefited from one or more of my hypnosis downloads. I’m massively grateful for all of your ongoing support and special thanks to everyone who has recommended me to friends and family and all of you who have very kindly left me a positive online hypnotherapy review this year.
It’s been a very successful year of hypnotherapy and I continue to love helping you to deal with issues such as anxiety, fear, overthinking and worry. I’ve also helped many people to take back control over their eating habits and to quit smoking for good.
Earlier in the year I was very fortunate to win another service excellence award at the Ely Business Awards (marking my hat-trick!) and, outside work, I’m super happy to have completed my first marathon for seven years (and then an ultra marathon on top too). Despite the challenges of the year, there really have been many, many good things.
As the current year ends, I always like to take a few moments for a bit of private reflection of some of the highlights of the year and the things I’m pleased with and grateful for. Many of these are my own little moments to savour and treasure as I think back. And many of these moments involve clients who achieved massive positive changes in their life. Many other moments involve my running and exercise. And there are the dozens of photos to scroll through on my phone to remind me of the good times with the kids and all the fun things we have seen and done throughout this year.
One way to reflect, notice and appreciate the good moments from the year is to use a similar process to the one I talked about in my article about developing a positive evening meditation (you can find that article here: Evening Positive Meditation). That process was designed to be a daily habit but it works equally well as an annual one too and increases your awareness of the good and positive things that happen in your life. It allows you to notice the positive experiences and to cultivate a mindset of more happiness, positivity and joy.
All you need to do, either in your mind or by writing it down, is to take some time to think back on the things that you are grateful for from the year, the things you’ve learnt this year, the things you’ve accomplished and the moments, experiences and things that delighted you. Doing this can counter the human tendency to focus on the negative and, if you spend a little time on it, can really increase your levels of happiness, contentment and well-being. So do take a little time over these last days of the calendar year to reflect positively on the year just gone, even as you begin to dream, plan and set goals for more good stuff during the year ahead.
I hope that you are all set for a great start to the New Year and into the months to come.
If you are planning on setting some New Year’s resolutions or goals to kick start at the beginning of the year, then you may want to take a look at these earlier articles to help you make them as successful as possible:
And just because it is the festive season (and because I love A Christmas Carol!), here are a couple of articles about building motivation for achieving your goals:
I’m excited and looking forward to helping many more of you next year to tackle your anxiety, worry, habits, fears, low self-esteem and a host of other things that currently stop you being as calm, confident, healthy and happy as you would like to be. Alongside that I hope to be training and completing some more long distance runs too. Oh, and with a bit of guitar and fun with the kids thrown in with it!
Wishing you a New Year filled with joy, positivity, fun and success, Happy New Year!
To your health and happiness,
