Thank You NHS – Hypnotherapy in Ely Vlog
Early on in lockdown I recorded a short video to say thanks to the NHS and all key workers for what they were doing during the pandemic. I’ve been helping clients who are key workers with issues such as anxiety and stress, and some of the stories they’ve told me of life on the front line are pretty harrowing. So as lockdown relaxes once again and we all continue to adjust, it’s a good time to once again give thanks and to make sure we remember our gratitude into the future. Hello, It’s Dan here. I hope you’re good today. Now early on in the lockdown process when things were really kicking off and there was a lot of bad stuff kind of going on, I did a short video then thanking the NHS and all the key workers for all the stuff they were doing. And now as we seem to be approaching certainly a very kind of big leap forward in terms of easing lockdown, some people are saying the end of lockdown, it’s a good time to just reflect and to, again, I just want to offer my thanks for everything that the NHS and other key workers were getting up to through lockdown to protect the rest of us to a large extent, to look after those who unfortunately did get Covid.
I’ve spoken to many clients who are key workers, whether that’s in the NHS or other environments. Some of the stuff they went through during that period was pretty harrowing stuff in terms of what was going on for them, for others, for keeping safe, uncertainty, fears, worries, anxieties, and I admire all of them for ploughing on and keeping going with their important functions. In that first video I think I was probably a little bit dazed still from everything that was going on but it was an important point that I wanted to cover. I want to say again today and I’ve got here, I don’t know if you can see that, look at that, a bit of bling.
During lockdown I did a virtual run to help raise money for the NHS, like I say I’ve got my medal, show it off again, there it is – important. I might have to run today to celebrate having my medal. Just to do my little bit in terms of giving some money towards them but, like I say, as lockdown eases, it’s very easy as humans to readjust, to get into our new kind of patterns of doing things, and the emotional impact tends to wane over time, so we just need to keep reminding ourselves of how grateful we are for key workers in the NHS and all t hose involved so this is my chance to show off my medal and to say thanks again in a more kind of reasoned way than perhaps I did in that first video.
So I’ll leave you with that. Please do keep in mind all the stuff that’s going on now, all the things that have happened, all the kind of traumas, anxieties and worries that would have been experienced then but all the good work that’s been going on by key workers, even as we start to adjust to things as they are now, with things obviously improving and getting better. Let’s all keep that in mind, and be very grateful and continue to be grateful and to be kind towards those people. I’ll leave you with that. You have a great day and I’ll speak to you very soon.
