If your anxiety levels are sky high right now then you will be able to feel those physical feelings in your body - maybe in your heart, your breathing or in your stomach. Or maybe you just feel ill at ease or a bit shaky. Your mind is probably working hard running all those anxiety inducing thoughts and scenarios.

If this is you then today I've provided you with a two step anxiety reducing process that you can start using right away. Persevere and practice and soon, whenever you chose, you'll be able to ease your anxiety right down to a more comfortable level.

Turn Down Your Anxiety 

Follow the two steps below to reduce your anxiety and ease it down.

1) Close your eyes and sit comfortably. Put your hand on your stomach and with every in breath imagine inflating your stomach like a balloon. As you do this say that word ‘calm’ in your mind. Then with every out breath the balloon deflates again and you say ‘relaxed’ in your mind. Breathe in calmness and breathe out and relax deeper.

2) Once you feel calmer, start thinking about and imagining how you want to think, feel and behave - being in control, calm and happy as you go about your daily life. Really vividly imagine and describe to yourself how it would be: what you would see, hear and feel. Then imagine actually doing things like this, as if it were happening right now. Keep that feeling of calm when you are ready to open your eyes.

Set aside at last two blocks of three minutes at some point each day and make an appointment with yourself to reset your calmness levels.
