Shortlisted in Three Categories at SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards

I’m very pleased to share some positive news for the practice and the Ely community.

Dan Regan Hypnotherapy has been shortlisted in three categories at the 2026 SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards:

• Ely Business of the Year
• Service Excellence
• Business Innovation

These awards celebrate the work of independent and small businesses across Cambridgeshire, recognising organisations that provide excellent service, contribute positively to their communities and continue to develop how they support their clients.

Being shortlisted in all three categories is a real honour and reflects the work that has been taking place with clients here in Ely.

Supporting people with anxiety and related challenges

My hypnotherapy work primarily focuses on helping people overcome anxiety, panic attacks, overthinking and confidence issues. Many clients arrive feeling overwhelmed or stuck, and the aim of the work is to help them feel calmer, more confident and better able to manage everyday life. Most of the people I support attend sessions here in Ely, with others working online.

Recognising service and innovation

The three shortlisted categories recognise different aspects of my work.

The Ely Business of the Year category celebrates the best of the city of Ely! This is all about making a positive impact and contribution to the local area.

The Service Excellence category reflects the importance of creating a calm, supportive environment where people feel comfortable discussing difficult experiences and can access practical, effective support.

The Business Innovation category recognises businesses that develop new or improved ways of supporting their clients. In recent years I have focused on expanding how people can access support for anxiety and related difficulties, helping people engage with support in ways that feel manageable and accessible.

Alongside client work, I also share information and guidance about anxiety and mental well-being through a regular column in the Ely Standard and through the Dan Regan Hypnotherapy Podcast, produced in association with Spotted in Ely.

Any recognition like this ultimately reflects the trust clients place in my hypnotherapy practice. I’m very grateful to everyone who has shared their experiences, recommended the service to others or taken the step of seeking support when they needed it.

Helping people feel calmer, more confident and more able to live the life they want remains the central focus (and the ongoing passion and purpose) of my work.

The winners of the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards will be announced later this year. Whatever the outcome, it is a real privilege to have the practice recognised alongside other businesses making a positive contribution across Cambridgeshire.
